Pre-Trip Post

The bags are almost packed, the itinerary is mostly a suggestion, and the computer nerd in me has once again gotten ambitious.

Welcome to the Italy trip journal. Pam and I are heading out soon and the goal is to post daily. I managed to keep up with that on the Europe trip a couple years ago, so the bar has been set. No promises, but I will do my best.

The plan is to hit several cities, eat things I cannot pronounce, and occasionally get on the wrong train. If the Europe trip taught me anything, it is that the unplanned stuff usually makes for the best stories anyway.
